Import a PDF, EPUB, MOBI or plain text — then chat with it as you read, and have it read aloud in English or Swahili. It runs right in your browser, books included.
Free AI included — no account, no API key, nothing to install for a quick look.

The web app is installable — it behaves like a native app once added to your home screen.
Built on the open-source ReadAny reader, tuned for a fast, talkative, multilingual reading flow.
Ask about the page you're on or the whole chapter. Answers stream in token by token, with a sleek badge showing the response speed (time-to-first-token).
The demo ships with a shared free-tier Gemini key held on the server. Open the app and start asking — no signup, no key, no setup.
Want your own quota? Settings → AI: paste a key for Cerebras, Claude, OpenAI (Codex) or your own Gemini. Your key travels with your requests — it is never stored on our servers.
Natural text-to-speech with automatic English and Swahili voice matching, plus a resilient fallback chain so narration keeps working.
PDF, EPUB, MOBI, TXT and Markdown, with highlights, notes and reading stats. On the web your library lives in private browser storage — nothing is uploaded.
Streaming everything: chat tokens land as they are generated, and the UI stays responsive on mid-range phones.
Two layers: a shared free tier so the first chat works immediately, and BYOK underneath for your own keys.
BYOK keys are kept in your browser's local settings and sent per-request; the shared demo key never appears in your client.
ReadAny's web demo was built for the Cerebras hackathon. Cerebras Llama 3.3 (llama-3.3-70b) drove the first provider integration and API testing; gpt-oss-120b generated the recorded demo answers and the first draft of the proxy regression tests. Measured through the production edge proxy: 664–776 ms to first token, 2,534–4,373 tok/s. The app has a built-in Cerebras provider, so you can paste your own Cerebras key in Settings → AI, and every answer shows a live time-to-first-token and tokens-per-second badge so you can see the speed for yourself.
